The project deals with two contradicting topics/concepts in design practice: new versus used and original versus copy.

I have chosen eight secondhand bags, which have formed the basis for a series of investigations. Using deconstruction as a tool for learning, investigating and working with elements of the eight secondhand bags, I have created a wide range of varied material and shape studies. These investigations have resulted in a collection of three bags, which have their own expression, while retaining subtle references to their starting point; the eight original second hand bags.

The project was made possible by help from ECCO
