Nature inspired outdoor furnishing for the Green Solution House

Green Solution House is a climate conference centre between Bornholm Airport and Rønne to be constructed during 2014. The Green Solution House is developed on the basis of sustainability strategies with a major focus on the surrounding landscape designed by the landscape architect company SLA.

For the Northern part of the site, I designed a sculptural outdoor furnishing inspired by nature’s own structures . With a number of large granite blocks, the design creates an inspiring landscape that invites staying, playing and exploration. In line with the sustainability agenda, the design is developed with consideration for appropriate production, minimised transport of materials, extended lifetime, upcycling and a healthy nature.
