KADK appoints its first two professors at the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts, School of Design and celebrates the setup of the research center for Codesign, Co-production and Social Innovation that focuses on Codesign as a Danish research and design discipline.

The Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts, Schools of Architecture, Design and Conservation (KADK) has appointed Eva Brandt Dam as Professor (WSR) in “Codesign as a method” and Thomas Binder as Professor (WSR) in “Codesign as an experimental research practice”.

For a number of years the two new professors have been in charge of building up the research cluster Codesign at the School of Design as well as establishing a new study program on a Master level. Codesign is a specific design practice that involves users and other interested parties in the design process. To consolidate the research area, KADK has decided to remodel the cluster into Centre for Codesign Research (CODE).

“Centre for Codesign Research is international leading. We are proud that we have succeeded in building up the Codesign environment as this excellent work has led to us appointing the School of Design’s first professors.”
