Forskning og samarbejde

The Professional Bachelor of Crafts in Glass and Ceramics is a part of and works closely with the Institute of Architecture and Design and in Copenhagen.

The purpose of the collaboration is to disseminate professional modules that include theoretical understanding and academic skill development within design and craft history and aesthetic theory.

We also do joint workshops with architects and designers. They help us share and develop understandings around different fields within the Royal Danish Academy, gain knowledge and grow a new network for the students.

We work together with local businesses on the island of Bornholm in various ways. For example, these can be design-driven collaborations — where students identify different areas to work with in study groups.

Students also have the opportunity to take part in research and artistic development projects throughout the programme.
